Who is the course for? Who is it not for?

If you want to dive deep into mastering garment ease, fittings, and pattern corrections, then this course is for you. To achieve the fit and silhouette you envision, you need to master these topics.

This is a very technical course, and you can take it as detailed as you would like or fast-track to certain fitting-problem areas.

A beginner who has sewing experience can take this course.

This course is not for someone who doesn’t know how to sew yet. Even though I make the steps as easy as possible, and a beginner will drastically grow in this process, I recommend that you have some experience sewing.

I already measure my clothes to come up with ease amounts. What will this course teach me that I'm not currently doing?

You may not be applying as many corrections to a pattern as you could be before cutting a fitting sample. This includes checking the shoulder slope, neckline adjustments, bust adjustments, dart positions, shoulder width adjustments, armhole positions, bicep/elbow adjustments, and length and circumferences adjustments.

You also may not be analyzing and studying the fabric characteristics when you assess the ease amounts. Then, you should be adjusting the ease amounts based on your findings.

You may not be using percentages of ease instead of just measurements. As you or your clients change sizes, the percentages will guide you to determine the amount of ease you prefer.

And finally, do you have a proven system for fittings, pattern corrections, and a detailed recording of all your measurements?

These are all the topics we will cover in the course. I hope to see you there!
