Shift Dress Pattern – Bela Dress and Blouse
~ Use this shift dress pattern with a mid-weight woven fabric. I suggest a soft cotton/synthetic, crepe, or nice draping satin fabric! You will also need bias binding or a secondary fabric for a contrast binding along the neckline and sleeve detail.
~ See the last image in the gallery above for the yardage needed and sizing! Keep in mind that a shift silhouette is loose-fitting by nature.
~ A serger or overlock machine is always nice to have; however, it is not a requirement for this pattern. If you’d like, you can zig zag the edges on a sewing machine to help prevent fraying.
– If you make the pattern with pre-made binding, the pattern is beginner-level difficulty.
– If you make the pattern with self-made binding, the pattern is intermediate-level difficulty.
